The colored version of the commission I made for :iconhockeywitch:

Having quite a bit of spare time on their hands, King Edmund and his companion, Melody, decided to explore Narnia's grand forests. As they walked through the forest, conversing and appreciating the beautiful scenery Narnian nature had to offer, they happened upon quite a sight. It was a kiwi wandering alone and, after stopping and staring at the two humans and deciding that they were safe, he wandered right up to the King and his companion. With a squeal of delight, Melody took the kiwi into her arms,
smothering him with bottomless affection. However, the Just King wasn't sure what she was doing was safe. Thus, he politely suggested that she might want to let the kiwi go, despite her refusal. Melody then fell into a dreamy state and, to Edmund's disapproval, concluded that she was taking "Yuki," the Kiwi, back as a pet. Oblivious to the couple's little argument, the kiwi almost seemed to be smiling andenjoying the attention he was receiving.

...ignore the terrible anatomy and my inability to make people look like people >.< So the coloring is not GREAT but I have to say that I'm rather proud of this because it actually looks like a forest and i think that some of the trees, bushes, and leaves turned out very well, texture-wise. And really the STAR of this is the Kiwi which I am really proud of because I can't normally draw animals ^.^

LOL when I read kiwi I thought, "Kiwi wandering alone? Um, sure Narnia has talking Beasts and all, but walking fruit!?" Of course, that made me feel all the sillier when I realized that the kiwi you were speaking of was, indeed, a beast. As for the work itself, I heartily congratulate you on a job very well done. The subjects look very realistic and graceful, and the hesitant look on Edmund's face for some reason keeps tugging at me (in a good way). I think it's because it's so sincere. :D Loved this, really!
